What Arcads, Creatify and MakeUGC are each good at, who should stick with a tool, and when a team that plans, makes and edits your ads is the better buy.
By Leo-Paul Benichou, founder of Whim Creative. Updated October 27, 2026.
If you want to keep making ads yourself, Creatify and MakeUGC are the closest Arcads alternatives, and both show their prices on their sites. If the real problem is that nobody has time to pick angles, check the product in every shot, edit and read the results, a new tool won't fix that. That's when a performance creative team is worth it.
We're Whim Creative, an AI performance creative agency for DTC brands on Meta, so we have a side here. Everything below about Arcads, Creatify and MakeUGC comes from their own websites, as of October 2026. If something's out of date, email leo@whim.live and we'll fix it.
Arcads is one of the best-known AI UGC tools. You pick an AI actor, write a script and get a creator-style video ad back. Most people who go looking for an alternative want one of three things.
The first two are tool problems, and another tool can solve them. The third one usually needs more than a new login. We'll cover both.
All three do a similar job, and each is good at something. Here's what each one says on its own site.
Tool You start from Good for Arcads An AI actor and your script Testing lots of actors, hooks and languages on a script you already trust. Creatify Your product page link Going from a product page to a first round of video and image ads fast. MakeUGC An AI actor, a script and a product photo Founders and small teams who want talking-actor videos on a small budget.
Arcads is built around its actors. Its site says you can pick from more than 1,000 AI actors or make your own avatar, have an actor hold your product, show your app or wear your clothes, and set the emotion by writing how you want a line said. It also lists translation into more than 30 languages and ad presets built for performance marketers. It says its users include fast-growing D2C brands, app studios and marketing agencies.
Creatify starts from your product. Its site says you can make video ads from any product link, keep your logo, colors and fonts in every ad, track your competitors' ads and push finished ads to Meta, Google, TikTok and more. It also has an agent that turns a product into ready-to-launch ads.
MakeUGC is built for creator-style ads made quickly. Its site lists more than 1,000 realistic AI actors on its top plan, more than 50 languages, and a product-in-hand feature where you upload a product photo and the actor holds it. It says you get videos in minutes.
A lot of brands. A tool is the right call if any of these sound like you.
The software is cheap, and if you have the hours and the skill, it's hard to beat on price. Creatify has a free plan and MakeUGC has a $1 trial, so trying both costs next to nothing.
If you've tried a tool or two and the ads still aren't working, switching again rarely helps. These tools all handle the generating well. The parts that decide whether an ad wins are the parts you still do yourself.
A tool makes what you type. Deciding what to type is most of the job. Which customer pain to lead with, which claim your label can back, which hook to test next. That comes from reading reviews, comments and the ads already winning in your category.
AI video can get a label, a cap or a color wrong. A wrong pack shot costs trust in the first second. Someone has to check every shot against the real product before it runs.
Pacing, captions, music, sound and that first second decide whether people keep watching. A raw generation still needs all of that before it's ready to run on Meta.
Talking-actor UGC is one format. A good angle can also work as an animated explainer, a product demo or a close-up sensorial shot. Testing one idea in a few formats tells you whether the idea is weak or the format was wrong. You can learn more about the formats in what AI creative is.
Static ads are quick to make and quick to test. The value comes from building them from the same angles as your videos, so a win in one tells you what to try in the other.
Every ad means a script, a few tries until a take looks right, a product check, an edit, an upload and a read of the results. Multiply that by every ad you test. That work usually lands on the founder or the media buyer, who already has other jobs.
Self-serve tool Performance creative team Who picks the angles You The team, from your reviews, comments and what's winning in your category. You approve the plan. Who checks the product You The team, on every shot, against the real product and label. Who edits You, or a freelancer you hire The team, on every ad. Formats Mostly what the tool is built for UGC-style, talking head, animated, product and sensorial video, plus statics. What happens next You decide what to test The next batch is planned from what won in the last one. Best for Small budgets and hands-on founders Brands spending $50K or more a month on Meta.
Same answer. The three tools are close enough that the choice comes down to how you like to work and what you want to pay, so try two on the same script. If you want the ads planned, made and edited for you, compare teams. Our guide to the best AI UGC agencies says who each one is right for, and what an AI UGC agency costs walks through the published prices.
We're Whim Creative, an AI performance creative agency for DTC brands on Meta. We work with brands spending $50K or more a month on Meta, mostly in supplements, skincare and beauty. AI UGC is one of the things we make. Here's how a batch works.
That's our bet. For a brand at that spend, a premium team that plans, makes and edits your performance creative should simply beat doing it yourself in a tool. Read how our AI creative agency works for the long version, or see if we're a fit.
It depends on what you need. If you want another self-serve tool, Creatify and MakeUGC are the closest, and both show their prices on their own sites. If you want someone to plan, make and edit the ads for you, look at a performance creative team.
They start in different places. Arcads leads with its actor library and emotion control. Creatify starts from a product link. MakeUGC leads with quick talking-actor videos and a $1 trial. Run one script through two of them and keep the one you like using.
As of October 2026, Creatify has a free plan and paid plans from $10 a month billed yearly ($15 month to month). MakeUGC starts at $29 a month billed yearly, with a $1 trial. We couldn't find a public price for Arcads. Agencies cost more, and our cost guide has their published numbers.
Use a tool if someone on your team can write angles, judge a take, check the product and edit. Hire a team if that person is the bottleneck, or if better creative is worth more to you than what the software saves.
Some do. Creatify's and MakeUGC's pricing pages both include images. The harder part is picking which angles to turn into statics, and building them from the same ideas as your videos so every test teaches you something.
